The claim by a FIFA agent, Goke Oshotoba that Dele Sunday Alampasu,
the adjudged best goalkeeper at the recently concluded 2013 U-17 World
Cup, is set to complete a move to Belgian side Genk, as being rubbished.
According to Olusola Orelaja, the FIFA agent who is the player’s
parent consent, said there is no truth in the story published by an
online football website.
The London based football agent said the management team of the player has not signed any deal with any club side in Europe.
“I am really surprised by the publication, I don’t know where they
got the story, because Oshotoba is not part of our team or
representative of Dele, so he did not speak on his behalf. We are still
in talks with some of the clubs that have shown interest in having Dele
on their books, including Genk, but no agreement yet”, Orelaja said on
telephone from the UK.
He also disclosed that Dele is a player of Future Star Academy and
not Abuja Football Academy, saying the player who is a member of the
Lagos State football gold medal winning squad of the 2012 National
Sports Festival was only sent to the football academy on mature
understanding for him to get more experience.
